We often see the same language problems over and over again in the manuscripts we receive. Here we discuss some of the more common problem categories.

British versus American spelling

Authors should use the spelling that is appropriate for the target journal. To get help doing that in Word, set the language tool to the type of English you need (Tools, Language, Set Language) and make sure the spell checker is on.
