Language problems
We often see the same language problems over and over again in the manuscripts we receive. Here we discuss some of the more common problem categories.
Centrifugation speed versus centrifugal force
Centrifuge heads spin around at a specified number of revolutions per minute, but the force exerted on the sample varies with the head’s radius. Thus, g-force, not RPM, tells what happening to the sample, and g-force is what should be given when methods are described.
