SciWrite is a network of experienced biomedical writers and editors certified by the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (BELS).
Miriam Bloom, the owner of SciWrite, holds a PhD in genetics and is a Diplomate of BELS (signifying the highest competence in our profession) as well as an award-winning writer. Formerly senior editor of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, she understands the manuscript publication process.
Dr. Bloom is a member of the Council of Science Editors (where she chaired the Publications Committee), the American Medical Writers Association, and the Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society. In addition, she serves on the editorial board of the Annals of Improbable Research (really).
Manuscripts sent to SciWrite are edited by Dr. Bloom or assigned to others with appropriate expertise. Dr. Bloom reviews all work before it is returned. The scientific accuracy of all papers, however, is ultimately the responsibility of the author.
Writing projects are welcomed and are handled on a contractual basis. E-mail us your questions.
